Sungrak Church pursues the sincerity of faith, as per demonstrated by the Bereans in the Book of Acts.
The characteristic that marked the Bereans was that they were noble. They demonstrated the qualities of gentleness, kindness and affection towards their neighbors. Herein, our church aims to reflect the Bereans’ approach of encouragement towards neighboring partners, in becoming a noble church loyal to the proclamation of the good news, with virtues of sincere love, consideration and a heartfelt smile.
Sungrak Church takes after the Bible.
We believe that it, alone, possesses the authority for faith and practice and thus, our hope is for all the members of the church to become true Christians that seek and grow their faith from within the Bible. In establishing the motto, "the church takes after the Bible; the saints take after the church”, we aim to realize the Word into faith, into a way of life, and into spiritual power.
Sungrak Church seeks to steer away from placing the emphasis on pastoral leadership and instead, focus on creating opportunities for lay people to serve the church freely.
We believe that each member ultimately grows to become a teacher of the Bible and a token of our faith to the people around them – they are the result of discipline, training and endless endeavors; they learn to humbly lay themselves down for the build-up of the church, that is, the Lord’s body. Thus, as a church, we aim to help our members in the confirmation of their calling and election as spiritual leaders (Mokyangsa) that they may serve with heart of a mother, as demonstrated by just like the ministers.
Sungrak Church is an ever-growing, young church that never stops preaching and growing continues to spread the Gospel.
Each child, youth, student, man and elder gather in the offering the greatest worship, and going beyond individual spiritual growth, we, the whole church serves Jesus, the head of the church with all faithfulness, giving all the glory to God. We are a youthful church, bringing endless revival and growth equipped with the great authority given by Jesus and the power of His blood.
Sungrak Church preaches The Picture of God’s Will as is revealed in the Bible.
We reject humanism, the influence of which has caused the erosion of the modern day church, and endeavor to divulge declare the Will of God and the Way of the Son of Man from a God-centered perspective. We believe that the Son of God is now seated on the throne; we believe in His righteous and gracious works of destroying the Devil and delivering mankind. We teach concerning the name of Jesus, and of our faith in bowing our knees before and humbly serving that name.
Sungrak Church is actively engaged in world missions.
Our efforts are not only centralized on reaching out and opening our doors to the local community, but rather, on a global scale – to all the nations throughout the world, upholding the good and faithful attitude of the Bereans, in obedience to the Lord’s command, “You will be my witnesses to the ends of the earth”. We prepare the way for the second coming of our Lord, making world mission our great commission.
Sungrak Church aims to discharge its calling towards the Berea Movement/Teaching, by gathering the hearts and will of each member in a unity tied together by the overseer, whom God has appointed over the church.
We believe that upon achieving a more perfect unification, we will have the capacity to move as one – in a faithful harmony – towards the words of God, that we may fully embrace the glory prepared for us by God. We are the members of Sungrak; we are the followers of Christ and His joy is made complete in us.
